Skyrim Dragonborn DLC out tomorrow for Xbox 360 PS3 and PC in

first_imgGet ready to dust off your save file and inflate its total hours played, because Dragonborn, Skyrim’s next add-on, will be releasing tomorrow for Xbox Live.Dragonborn looks to be a significant piece of content. Bethesda is calling it one of their “most ambitious add-ons ever,” which if taken to heart, would mean a great deal considering the enormous size of Oblivion’s Shivering Isles DLC. Dragonborn will bring a boatload of new content to Skyrim, including new spells and enchantments, weapons, armor, creatures and enemies, shouts, locations, and achievements. The main quest does not have to be completed in order to play Dragonborn, but small bits of story and characters are altered if the main quest has been completed. Leaked details from someone claiming to be a beta tester said that, so far, the player is about 30 hours into the DLC and hasn’t yet finished, though the main quest could be completed in about 10.Not just content with a release, Bethesda has announced that the DLC will be made available for PC and PS3 in early 2013. Interestingly, previous Skyrim DLC has not yet been made available for Sony’s platform. So, either the PS3 release of Dragonborn will herald the release of the previous Skyrim DLC for the PS3, or Dragonborn will release without it, which would point toward the PS3 perhaps not receiving Dawnguard and Hearthfire.Meanwhile, PS3 owners have been patiently awaiting their Skyrim DLC. Dawnguard released for the Xbox 360 on June 26 2012, then later for PC on August 2. The following piece of DLC, Hearthfire, released for the Xbox 360 on September 4, and for PC on October 4. Release dates for the PS3 versions are still unknown. However, with the announcement of a vague release date for Dragonborn for the PS3, owners of Sony’s console have reason to hope.via Bethesda Bloglast_img read more
