first_img Facebook Twitter Police: 45-year-old man arrested for attempting to have sex with 15-year-old girl in Secaucus CrimeJersey City CarePoint Health reaches deal for Cigna Health Insurance to join their network The Jersey City Violent Crimes Task Force busted a young city man on a number of drug and weapons offenses, including 1,000 bags of heroin and a loaded gun, according to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.By John Heinis/Hudson County ViewC’Hanif Murphy, 22, of Jersey City, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm during a controlled dangerous substance arrest, unlawful possession of hollow point bullets, two counts of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school, two counts of possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public library and resisting arrest, according to prosecutor’s office spokesman Ray Worrall.The arrest was made on Monday by members of the Jersey City Violent Crimes Task Force, which is an ongoing cooperative initiative designed to combat violence and take illegal firearms off the streets of Jersey City.The Task Force consists of Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Detectives, Jersey City Police Officers and Hudson County Sheriff’s Officers.During the arrest, officers discovered one firearm, more than 1,000 glassine bags of suspectedheroin, two plastic baggies containing suspected marijuana and approximately $1,600, officials said.Murphy’s bail was set at $150,000, cash or bond, authorities said.
