Use it as an opportunity to learn more about marketing and content techniques, the huge opportunity for in-play betting, and the sheer depth of data and markets in this truly unique space. The ESI Esports Betting Tour will conclude at the Esports Arena, where some of the world’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams will be battling for the lion’s share of the $250,000 (£190,656) prize pool.Sam Cooke, Managing Director & Co-founder of Esports Insider said: “Last year there was a real sense of intrigue around esports and the single tour we ran was over-subscribed. This year, as the market has matured and operators start to realise esports is not just a buzzword, we expect a similar uptake. I’d recommend booking now to avoid disappointment.” For more information on attendance or becoming a stop on the Esports Betting Tour, please visit the dedicated site.last_img read more

The council approved a re-platting and a developer’s agreement that was needed in order for the project to continue.A developer representing an architectural firm of CGW Transportation Consultants who in turn were representing the new property owners Ridge Investment Group LLC were at the meeting Thursday. They said they hope to be open in September. Because of the tight schedule a special meeting was set for last night. One of the issues was a variance, or exception, for the allowed height of the sign the store will have. The long term plan for the area limits the size and height of signs, but the developers wanted a sign larger than what the code allowed. They settled on a 25-foot limit for an exception, which was agreeable to the developer a well. The council talked about discussing the issue of signs further at a later time. Exceptions have already been given to Walmart and McDonalds. The store will be located north of McDonalds and at the corner of Boundary and U.S 160. Seventeenth street will also border the property, and the developer will have to put in sidewalks on one side of the street. The code called for both sides to have sidewalks. The planning commision had recommended the changes, so an exception was given there as well. The developers agreement included things like water, sewer and electric. All of those issues were agreed upon so no special arrangements were needed. The developer is Ridge Investment Group and they will be leasing the property to Dollar Tree. The development company also has its eyes on the adjacent property and is hoping to develop more commercial property in the area.Follow us on Facebook.Follow us on Twitter.last_img read more

Arsenal 1-0 Wolfsburg: Gunners win Emirates Cup

first_img1 Theo Walcott scored the only goal as Arsenal beat Wolfsburg to win the Emirates Cup for the first time in five years. The 26-year-old England international hit the winner in the second half of a low-key 1-0 victory.Arsenal were favourites to win their own friendly competition, but Villarreal’s 2-0 victory over Lyon meant the Gunners had to beat last season’s Bundesliga runners-up to lift the trophy.Mesut Ozil was the only player retained from Saturday’s 6-0 hammering over Lyon as Arsene Wenger rotated his starting line-upPetr Cech – making his first appearance at the Emirates following a summer move from Chelsea – should have been tested early on but former Gunners striker Nicklas Bendtner failed to control Kevin De Bruyne’s cross.Wolfsburg continued to press in the early exchanges and came close when Christian Trasch’s low shot was deflected behind by Nacho Monreal.Walcott, deployed in his preferred central striker position, had Arsenal’s best chance of the first half when he was played in by Ozil and forced a good stop from Diego Benaglio. The former Southampton graduate did have the ball in the net after 33 minutes, but his lofted effort was correctly chalked off for offside.World Cup winner Ozil was having a much quieter afternoon but almost steered Monreal’s low cross past Benaglio as the first half drew to a close, with neither side having crafted a clear-cut chance to break the deadlock.Chuba Akpom replaced Ozil at the break, which saw Walcott move to the right flank.Despite his shift, the Englishman was the man to open the scoring five minutes into the second half as he picked up Jeff Reine-Adelaide’s pass and finished coolly to put Arsenal ahead.De Bruyne – a reported £60m target for Manchester City – fired high and wide as the visitors looked to respond, with Ricardo Rodriguez stinging the palms of Cech on the hour mark.Cech was again on hand to push Josuha Guilavogui’s drilled effort behind for a corner as every touch for the Czech Republic international was met with cheers from the home fans.Wenger introduced Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from the bench late on but Walcott’s goal proved to be enough for the Gunners.Next up for Arsenal is next Sunday’s Community Shield showdown with Chelsea.
